1. In an emergency
Never delay urgent care in order to book an appointment, wait for a reply from support, or wait for a provider to respond.
2. We do not give medical advice
Nothing on the platform is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Specialty descriptions, symptom and condition terms, and search suggestions exist to help you find a relevant provider — they are not an assessment of what is wrong with you, and choosing the right specialty for your symptoms is a clinical judgement that belongs with a qualified practitioner.
Shefa does not diagnose, prescribe, issue medical reports, hold your medical records, or take part in your treatment in any way.
3. What verification does and does not mean
Before a provider can appear in search and accept bookings, we check the licensing and credential documents they submit and record the outcome, and we stop bookings when a critical credential expires or is withdrawn. That is a check of documentation. It is not an assessment of clinical skill, not a recommendation of one practitioner over another, and not a guarantee of any outcome. The choice of who treats you remains yours.
4. Information published by providers
Profiles, services, prices, opening hours, facilities and accepted insurers are supplied by providers and can change. We re-check the price and the slot immediately before you confirm a booking, but information elsewhere on the platform may be out of date, and coverage under an insurance policy must always be confirmed with the provider and your insurer.
5. In-person care
Appointments booked through the platform are in-person visits at the provider's location. We do not offer teleconsultation, remote triage or clinical messaging; if that changes, it will be under the licensing and clinical governance the applicable regulations require, and it will be clearly identified as such.
6. Your decisions about your health
Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional about a medical condition, and never disregard or delay it because of something you read on the platform. If your symptoms change or worsen while you are waiting for an appointment, seek care immediately rather than waiting for the booked date.
